Urgent Appointments
To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):
• Call us on 01709 560005 during our opening hours.
• Use our Online appointment request form between 8:00am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. (Note: The service closes early at 12 Noon during PLT (Protected Learning Time) days, see Home page for these dates.)
• Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist during opening hours.
When you contact us, we’ll ask about your needs and use the information to arrange the most appropriate doctor, nurse, or healthcare professional to assist you.

Routine Appointments
To request a routine appointment within the next 7 days:
• Use our appointment request form between 8:30am and 10am, Monday to Friday. (Note: The service may close early if capacity is reached before 10:00am.) We will respond within 1–2 working days during opening times.
• Call us on 01257 441260 during our opening hours.
• Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist during opening hours.
As with urgent appointments, we’ll ask about your needs to ensure we connect you with the most suitable doctor, nurse, or healthcare professional.

Home Visits
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit. A doctor or nurse practitioner may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance. Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability. Please remember that several patients can be seen in the surgery in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better
Cancelling Appointments
If you wish to cancel your appointment. You can cancel the appointment through the NHS app. You can also call the surgery on 01709560005. You can attend the surgery in person to cancel at the reception desk. Or alternatively you can email the surgery at www.patientqueries.woodstock.bower@nhs.net
Extended Access Appointments
There are now evening and weekend appointments available at a nearby surgery. Please contact Reception for appointments or further information. Appointments are available for a GP, ANP, Nurses and HCAs. These are run by our federation of GPs and are based across the borough.
Different types of Appointment Options
Based on your needs, your consultation may be offered:
• By phone
• In person at the surgery
• Via video call
• Through text or email
Remote consultations (by phone, video, or email) are often more flexible and can help you access care sooner.
Temporary Residents
If you are visiting the area or staying with friends and you need to see a doctor or nurse, you can register as a temporary resident with the practice. This can be arranged by speaking to one of our receptionists and completing a form.
Please note, if you need seeing urgently, we advise that you attend Rotherham Hospital Emergency Care Centre.
